1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FishTech ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
The App is operated by FishTech ("we", "our", or "us").
2. Description of Service
FishTech is a mobile application that provides:
- AI-powered fly fishing recommendations based on location, weather, and target species
- Gear list recommendations and shopping links
- Fly tying recipes and instructions
- Trip planning and catch logging features
- Integration with fishing tackle retailers
3. Service Tiers

4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Subscription Plans
FishTech offers the following subscription plans:
- Pro Monthly: Billed monthly
- Pro Annual: Billed annually (discounted)
- Expert Monthly: Billed monthly
- Expert Annual: Billed annually (discounted)
Current pricing is displayed in the App at the time of purchase.
4.2 Billing
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account
- Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- Prices may change with notice; continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance
4.3 Free Trial
If a free trial is offered:
- You will not be charged during the trial period
- Your subscription will automatically begin at the end of the trial
- You may cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged
- Unused portions of free trials are forfeited upon subscription purchase
4.4 Cancellation
To cancel your subscription:
- iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > FishTech > Cancel
- Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > FishTech > Cancel
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until then.
4.5 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies:
- Apple: Request a refund from Apple
- Google: Request a refund from Google
We cannot process refunds directly as payments are managed by the app stores.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, subscription requirements, or security measures
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems or bots to access the App
- Share your account credentials with others
- Resell or redistribute App content or AI-generated recommendations
- Submit false, misleading, or inappropriate content
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
6. Intellectual Property
- The App, its content, features, and functionality are owned by FishTech, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
- AI-generated content (recommendations, recipes) is provided for your personal use only
- User-generated content (catch logs, trip data) remains your property, but you grant us a licence to use it to provide and improve the service
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
- AI recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate
- Weather estimates and fishing conditions are approximations only
- We do not guarantee fishing success or the accuracy of any recommendations
- Always verify conditions locally and follow local fishing regulations
- We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services linked from the App
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- FishTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months prior to the claim
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on App content or recommendations
9. Third-Party Services and Links
- The App contains links to third-party websites and services (retailers, affiliates)
- We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third parties
- Purchases made through affiliate links are subject to the retailer's terms and conditions
- We may earn commission from affiliate purchases at no additional cost to you
10. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time
- Change subscription pricing with reasonable notice
- Update these Terms at any time
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without notice, for:
- Breach of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse of the service or other users
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FishTech regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
